The EOS 3000N is as easy to operate as a compact camera, but offers all the advantages of single-lens reflex photography. This makes this very affordable camera the ideal introduction to SLR photography. However, its features will also meet the requirements of experienced photographers.
Through its 3-point focusing system, the EOS 3000N can capture off-centre subjects. The 6-zone evaluative exposure metering system is linked to the focusing system. When used together with an EOS compatible speedlite, the camera will thus illuminate the subject with the correct exposure, even if it is to the left or right of the frame’s centre. The EOS 3000N also provides auto exposure bracketing (AEB) enabling users to take three frames in rapid succession at different exposures, which can be helpful in difficult lighting situations.
The EOS 3000N has five Programmed Image Control (PIC) modes (Portrait, Landscape, Close-up, Sports and Night Scene) giving one-step settings for various situations. The full-auto mode is suitable under most conditions.
