Even though it is such a small camera the IXUS has a 2x zoom lens with focal length ranging from 24 to 48mm - making it the ideal camera for travel and holiday shots. The high quality optics deliver clear and sharp images rightdown to a focusing distance of 0.45 metres.
Autofocus
IXUS uses a hybrid autofocus system which automatically switches between active and passive AF modes. Active AF is the main mode perfect for most general photography. However if the camera has difficulty focusing on distant subjects or through glass, it switches to passive.
Multi-function retractable flash
The built-in flash offers five shooting modes:
- Auto with red eye reduction
- Auto without red eye reduction
- Flash on
- Flash off
- Slow sync
